The Upgrading Faculty was founded in 1987

Upgrading is offered in:

• Raising effectiveness of energy generating equipment (thermal included), and accident prevention;
• Incorporeal right;
• Operating refuelling stations and petroleum storage depots; combustive-lubricating substances quality control;
• Design and operation of electric equipment of refuelling stations and petroleum storage depots;
• New seafood technologies and their quality;
• IT and computing machinery;
• PC and Internet in managerial work;
• Editorial and publishing systems;
• PC for secretaries; PC for beginners; Microsoft Office and Internet;
• Computer graphics;
• Operating 1C, BEST on PC;
• Strategic planning and analysis of investment effectiveness;
• Economy and management of enterprises;
• Protection of labour;
• Technical servicing of onboard power plants;
• Modern legal and ecological aspects of environmental protection and fish stocks reproduction;
• Foundations of pedagogics and psychology of the higher education;
• Landscape architecture and design, etc. 

At present the faculty offers a wide range of educational service, such as:

• professional retraining;
• upgrading (with state certificates awarded);
• continued studies.

Professional retraining is offered in:

• technology of storage and use of;
• electrical power stations;
• computing machinery, complexes, systems and networks;
• automation of production and operation of electronic and electric equipment of automobiles;
• industrial and civil construction.

The students are awarded a state diploma on professional retraining certifying the right of a specialist to work in the new professional area.

Programmes of continued studies include:

• Foreign languages;
• IT and PC;
• Provision and check of knowledge on protection of labour;
• Methods of verification of genuineness of Rouble and currency notes.
