KSTU became second at the All-Russian Academic Competition on Material Resistance

     This year, the third and final round of the XXXVII All-Russian Students' Academic Competition on Material Resistance was held in the city of Arkhangelsk on September 11- 15, 2017 on the basis of Northern (Arctic) Federal University.

     Teams from the largest Russian universities took part in the competition: N.E.Bauman Moscow State Technical University, National Research Nuclear University "Moscow Engineering and Physical Institute", St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, S.P. Korolev Samara State Aerospace University, Northern Arctic Federal University, Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University and many others. The total number of participants- 54 people from 22 Russian universities.

     Kaliningrad State Technical University was represented by the following students Alexey Filatov, Tatiana Knyazeva, Dmitriy Gnezdilov. The students were instructed by the professor of the Department of Shipbuilding Aleksey Pritykin. The students had started to prepare themselves for the competition since early last year, showing great diligence and developing non-standard thinking, which allowed to adequately represent our university at the all-Russian level.

     Following the results of the acadmic competition in the team event, KSTU students took II place among other Russian students, having passed only N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University. In addition to psychic income, students enjoyed a number of excursions to Arkhangelsk, trips to Severodvinsk, and communication with students from other participating cities. At the solemn closing ceremony, all participants received certificates, and the winners also got valuable prizes.

     Now our students are going to get ready for the All-Russian Academic Competition on Applied Mechanics, which will be held in 2018 in St. Petersburg.
