KSTU has held the Donor Day

On October 24, KSTU held the traditional Donor Day.  Among those wishing to become a donor were KSTU students and employees, as well as cadets of BFFSA. The head of the KSTU health center, honorary donor of Russia V.B. Kovalyova explained the upcoming procedure to the volunteer before the start of the blood donation. She told about the proper preparation of the body and the effect to be expected. In the lobby, volunteers were handing out reminders about the benefits of this medical procedure.

Before proceeding with the blood donation, all potential donors had to meet the preparatory conditions, have good health indications, find out the blood type and fill out the appropriate papers. On that day, there were practically no medical exemptions, so most of the volunteers were able to donate their blood. As a result of the Donor Day, 70 people donated 24.5 liters of blood. Compared to previous years, this was not the highest result. But there were objective reasons for this: on that day, only one mobile team of the Blood Service worked at KSTU. As medical workers noted, the level of students' preparation for donation is growing, there is interest and a desire to help, so that contribution was also very significant.
