During the Maritime Forum, sections at IMTPEC discussed architecture, construction, marine technology and engineering communications
The II National Conference Architecture, Construction, and Engineering Communications was conducted at the Department of Construction of IMTPEC (Institute of Marine Technologies, Power Engineering and Construction) during the XII International Baltic Maritime Forum on the 4th of October. Fourteen reports were presented. The speakers illustrated all the reports with colourful and informative presentations.
A wide range of topics characterised the papers.
A.V. Gramoteeva and A.V. Druzhinina focused their reports on the issues of buildings’ inspection using artificial intelligence and the problems of identifying cultural heritage objects.
The reports presented by A.V. Kulishkin and A.V. Karpenko explored the questions of reusing construction materials.
A.A. Bunak's report on the design and construction of beach retention structures in Svetlogorsk aroused great interest.
The reports by I.V. Khomyakova and J.G. Kontsedaeva addressed the issues of calculation and strengthening building structures and the kinetics of corrosion processes in concrete and reinforcement.
The study findings about the shakiness of slab-beam ceilings in buildings undergoing reconstruction were reported in the paper by V.A. Pimenov and A.S. Lavrova.
On the same day, during the XII International Baltic Maritime Forum, a session of the section Electrical Systems of Maritime Industry Facilities took place as part of the XII National Scientific Conference Marine Engineering and Technology.
The session Safety of Maritime Industry gathered researchers from various organisations involved in the development and study of electrical systems for maritime facilities.
Representatives of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, Kaliningrad State Technical University, Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy and Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University attended the event.
During the conference, the participants discussed actual issues and problems related to the use of electric energy storage devices at maritime industry facilities and the peculiarities of power supply to the shipbuilding industry enterprises.
Recent developments and technologies in the field of electrical engineering were presented, as well as the issues of safety and reliability of electrical equipment operation at maritime facilities.
At the end of the section meeting, A.V. Grigoriev, General Director of JSC “RPC “Ship Electric Propulsion”, made a report on modern ship electric propulsion systems and electric power systems developed in Russia.
At the end of the conference, the high level of the presented reports was noted, as well as the importance of cooperation between the organisations for further development of electrical systems at maritime facilities and ensuring safety of navigation.
All the reports generated lively discussions. Masters' and postgraduate students presented the results of their scientific research and received important advice and recommendations from experienced colleagues.
