The Parade of Stars took place at KSTU

The fourth solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to winners and prize-winners of olympiads took place in the assembly hall of KSTU. KSTU has established this event as a good tradition, holding it annually since 2022.

On June 18, more than 50 schoolchildren of 6-11 grades from general education organisations of the Kaliningrad region, as well as their parents and teachers, took part in the ceremony.

From the stage of the assembly hall, the participants of the Parade of Stars were greeted by the rector of KSTU V.A. Volkogon and the head of the Education Modernisation Department at the Ministry of Education of the Kaliningrad region, I.N. Pozdnyakova.

The programme of the annual holiday was full of episodes honouring schoolchildren and their mentors who showed significant distinction in the olympiad movement of the 2024-2025 academic year. The future students were congratulated and presented with their bright song performances by the participants of the university art studios.

On stage, officials presented awards to the winners and prize-winners of the olympiads Hope of Power Engineering and Step into the Future, the olympiad in physics Heirs of Levsha, the XVII South-Russian Interregional Olympiad Architecture and Art, the Interregional Olympiad of Schoolchildren SAMMAT, and subject olympiads on the Russian Council of School Olympiads (RSOSH) list.

A special place in the olympiad movement of the university is occupied by the industry-based subject olympiad of higher educational institutions of Rosrybolovstvo for schoolchildren in the following subjects: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics. The admission rules grant winners and prize-winners of the final stage of this olympiad up to 8 points.

KSTU initiated and has run its olympiad for schoolchildren since 2015; in 2023, the list of competitive activities for school subjects is supplemented by subject areas, taking into account the competences of professional fields. Admission rules grant winners, prize-winners, and participants of the olympiad Trajectory 4K additional points (up to 7) on their entrance examination results.

First-year students of KSTU from among the winners and prize-winners of the olympiads listed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation can apply for an increased scholarship of 25 000 rubles.
